Hello, I upgraded fglrx packages to version 1:10-5-1 on 11.6.2010:
fglrx-atieventsd (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
fglrx-control (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
fglrx-driver (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
fglrx-glx (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
fglrx-glx-ia32 (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
fglrx-modules-dkms (1:10-4-1) to 1:10-5-1
and since that upgrade I cannot start Savage2 game (binary compiled for 64bit
linux, freshly downloaded from savage2.com). I'm not sure whether it is fglrx-
driver or savage bug, but it appears since upgrade.
I ran upgrade on 2.6.32-3-amd64 kernel, and during upgrade new 2.6.32-5-amd64
kernel was installed. After booting newly installed kernel, I had to reinstall
fglrx-modules-dkms package so as to get dkms modules for new kernel. Anyway,
with new kernel and 3D support available, I cannot run Savage2 game. After
starting savage2.bin the screen turns black, process immediately terminates and
game does not start. Log files from ~/.savage2/game/ are as follows:
Also after I have updated (I am also on amd64) it to the current 2.x
version it works :/
