After installing libavutil50/experimental libavcodec52/experimental libavdevice52/experimental libavformat52/experimental libavfilter1/experimental libpostproc51/experimental libswscale0/experimental , chromium is able to display html5 video again. Even webm videos on youtube work. Hello, future!
What I don't understand is why you're leaving chromium in unstable in such a crippled state, and with broken dependency information that does not make it very easy to find the solution above. This bug could be resolved immediately in either of two ways; by moving chromium to experimental until ffmpeg reaches unstable, or moving ffmpeg 0.6 to unstable now. I've seen no rationalle given against doing either. (For that matter, there's no particular reason not to link chromium against its internal ffmpeg copy, given that it's being blocked from reaching testing.) -- see shy jo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
