I have Squeeze on a Dell Inspiron 640m. I use gnome.
I have more info:
Opening Inkscape using gnome user interface sends this message:
Do you want to run "file.svg", or display its contents?
"file.svg" is an executable text file.
and it gives the options to Run in terminal, display, cancel, run
Terminal gives this message:
(inkscape:5114): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_misc_set_alignment: assertion
`GTK_IS_MISC (misc)' failed
Extra info:
I reinstalled Inkscape today and synaptics uninstalled gnome-office too.
I reinstalled only Inkscape, not gnome-office. I got the same message
using GUI.
PS: This is my first bug report. Thanks for maintaining Inkscape. I hope
this is helpful.
