Then, if the initial conditions have changed, please re-describe the
problem in detail. Tell us how do you proceed, what mails do you read
(sample mails would be ideal), what did you expect and what do you
obtain.
But first, do:
"locale charmap" in the shell in both machines
":set ?charset" inside mutt in both machines
You should obtain "utf-8" four times.
Also, try invoking mutt like this:
$ mutt -F /dev/null -f ~/Mail/whatever
$ mutt -n -F /dev/null -f ~/Mail/whatever
