Hi, cabal-install currently suggests: Note: there is a new version of cabal-install available. To upgrade, run: cabal install cabal-install which makes perfect sense for user-installed cabal-install instances. But I think the version packaged by Debian should not recommend this, as Debian users more likely prefer updating cabal-install via apt-get.
