Package: postgresql-common Version: 23 Severity: important The postgres user is now created with shell /bin/false, but this completely breaks the start script of pgpool, which does su - postgres to start the daemon under the postgres user account. I also suspect that there are a number of maintenance type scripts out in the wild that depend on being able to log in as the postgres user.
