I think, that the problem is in libhdf5-lam-dev package, which is used for those platforms and is uncompilable with gmsh. My opinion is, that we have to replace libhdf5-mpi-dev to the following line: libhdf5-openmpi-dev[alpha amd64 i386 ia64 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 powerpc sparc] it will disable MED-support for some platforms, but will be compilable.
