Hi Yves, maybe it's because I'm using the default mouse pointer. I'll test it with other mouse themes, with and without compositing and give a feedback. Also I noticed libcairo is a dependency of xfce4-screenshooter and I think I have libcairo from a third-party repo (not sure, must check). I don't know if this influences.
