Please add "misc/kate/go.xml" (path in upstream) in this package or create a seperate package for it. It adds go syntax highlighting in kate. The path in debian should be "/usr/share/kde4/apps/katepart/syntax/ini.xml" I think. You don't actually need kate for that, so don't make it a dependency, kwrite and several others use these files as well.
