Package: tangogps Version: 0.99.4+debian3-3 Severity: normal tangogps often ends up leaving some tiles undownloaded. The ~/Maps directory ends up containg zero-sized blabla.png files for those tiles so they dont get re-downloaded later on either. When the download fails, I get the following message on stderr:
TILE DL PROBLEM: Couldn't resolve host 'tile.openstreetmap.org' http://tile.openstreetmap.org/5/18/11.png|/home/monnier/Maps/OSM/5/18/11.png|/home/monnier/Maps/OSM/5/18/ Yet the internet connection was rock solid during all this time and host resolution works just fine (I even tried it with various DNS servers, with and without a local dnsmasq cache). So think there are 2 bugs: - name resolution sometimes fails even though it should succeed. - when a download fails, a zero-sized file is created which prevents future runs from re-downloading it. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_CH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CH.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tangogps depends on: ii foxtrotgps 1.0.1-1 GTK+ mapping and GPS application tangogps recommends no packages. tangogps suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
