Package: nslcd
Version: 0.7.15
Severity: normal

nslcd is system-critical service, and it is very unfortunate that it is
stopped during system upgrade. For example:

Preparing to replace nslcd 0.7.13 (using .../archives/nslcd_0.7.15_i386.deb) ...
Stopping LDAP connection daemon: nslcd.
Unpacking replacement nslcd ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
Setting up nslcd (0.7.15) ...
Starting LDAP connection daemon: nslcd.

In this case, there were no real problem. However, apt and aptitude may
do a lot of time-consuming actions between processing prerm and config
scripts for nslcd (for example, some debconf questions may be asked, and
humans are very time-consuming).

Possibly, you should not stop nslcd when prerm script is called with
upgrade argument and restart it in postinst or config script.

Currently, system with nslcd may become unusable during upgrade.

Thank you for your excellent job for nslcd package!
