Thanks for pointing this out. It will be fixed in the next upload. However, this won't save you in all cases, e.g. when slapd is upgraded also LDAP will still be unavailable. Also, since I don't think such a fix is suitable for a stable update this will not help upgrades from squeeze (the old package stops nslcd first).
