does your soundcard/driver support full-duplex?
if not, you could try starting with "-noadc", and tell us whether it helps?

could you try tuning your audio-preferences via the
Media->Preferences->AudioSettings.. menu?

e.g. specifying the "proper" soundcard, samplerate and adjusting
blocksize and delay?
once it works, save the settings.

does it work, if you start jack before starting "pd -jack"?
(and confirm that jack is working - e.g. with other applications)
