I do not agree with your assessment of this bug's severity. You asked about in what term ia32-libs will be removed. I cannot say anything definitive about that at this point. However, what I can say is that it would preferedly not be included in the next stable release, but if that seems impossible, it would definately not be gaining new rdeps.
