After the upgrade to cups=1.5.2-5 my printer "Brother DCP-8065DN
BR-Script3" prints blank sheets.
I had workarounded this downgrading the package::
sudo apt-get install -t testing cups=1.5.0-13
And all is working back as expected.
Please check if changing the driver to something more generic enables
you to print again. As said, BR-Script (Brother) and KPDL (Kyocera) are
both vendor specific Postscript incarnations, so set the driver to
something similar to Postscript 1/2/3 and see if that helps.
I had success with generic Postscript 1 from foomatic. I need
confirmation that this is indeed somewhat driver specific before I want
to poke the devs even more. :)
