I can confirm this.

After the upgrade to cups=1.5.2-5 my printer "Brother DCP-8065DN
BR-Script3" prints blank sheets.

I had workarounded this downgrading the package::

    sudo apt-get install -t testing cups=1.5.0-13

And all is working back as expected.
Please check if changing the driver to something more generic enables
you to print again. As said, BR-Script (Brother) and KPDL (Kyocera) are
both vendor specific Postscript incarnations, so set the driver to
something similar to Postscript 1/2/3 and see if that helps.
I had success with generic Postscript 1 from foomatic. I need
confirmation that this is indeed somewhat driver specific before I want
to poke the devs even more. :)

AFAIK there is no free driver (foomatic or gutenprint) for my printer
(Brother DCP-8065DN)

I tried both with "Brother DCP-8045D Foomatic/Postscript" and "Brother
DCP-8085DN Foomatic/Postscript" without luck. Neither of this two
drivers is able to print pages. Tried both with cups 1.5.2-5 and 1.5.0-13

No, you did get me wrong. Just try a generic Postscript driver, not a Brother specific one. Postscript is a printer / page description language standard and many printers support it natively. See it as a least common denominator for many printers that claim to support "Postscript". Those printers may support some vendor specific stuff in addition, but they should run with that least common denominator nevertheless. So please test a GENERIC Postscript driver. That means in the cups webinterface choose "generic" as vendor and scroll down untill you see the generic Postscript stuff, choose one that fits the bill best.

Michael
