Upstream is very wrong. I personally don't have the energy to educate them though, especially since the gnote upstream tried and failed. According to the lintian lab on gluck only gnote is using that part of the ABI, so I guess your solution is OK, I worry about apps not in Debian packages though. -- bye, pabs http://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
