If you are using a phone, chances are >90% Facebook actually provides an app which is much better than the plugin for your particular phone.

Also, why would you want to use desktop software on a phone? That's rather an exceptional use case and quite uncomfortable. Pidgin and the plugin are meant to be used on a desktop.

Furthermore, the package does not even meet the requirements to enter testing, so it will never get released anyway. It's in a very bad shape.

If you want to continue to use it, I suggest installing it manually from source. We shouldn't ship something that has been dropped by both the Debian and the upstream maintainer.

Sorry, but that doesn't justify having packages in such bad shape in Debian. We seriously need to kick out packages like these as they slow down the development cycles for newer releases.
