I don't think orphaning will help here. Among its other issues, tomboy depends on the gnome-sharp2 libraries. gnome-sharp2 is one of several packages preventing the removal of the libgnome libraries from Debian.
tomboy was already removed from Testing 6 months ago (overriding its popcon) because of these issues. I suggest that its maintainers strongly consider removing tomboy from Debian now as part of the libgnome removal process. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
