% wget
ftp.hr.debian.org/debian/pool/main/m/maildrop/maildrop_1.5.3-1.1sarge1_i386.deb
[...]
% dpkg-deb -c maildrop_1.5.3-1.1sarge1_i386.deb | egrep
'bin/(lockmail.maildrop|maildrop)'
-rwxr-sr-x root/mail 149032 2005-08-27 22:07:33 ./usr/bin/maildrop
-rwxr-sr-x root/mail 10472 2005-08-27 22:07:33 ./usr/bin/lockmail.maildrop

Again, please find out why your instance of maildrop lost these permissions.
Nobody else seems to have this problem with the said version, since I'd soon
be swamped in bug reports if everyone did.
