Hi,
During a rebuild of all packages in sid, your package failed to
build on amd64.
Relevant part (hopefully):

Some tests failed. Giving up...

I think that this problem is triggered by a changing in behavior of
the mkoctfile program, in the way it process its arguments, between
versions 8.2 and 8.3 of Octave. I will try to get to this, as time
permits.
As I suspected, this bug is related to Bug#1050082 and is caused by a
misbehavior of mkoctfile, a tool used to build the *.oct files needed by
Octave, when options -f* are given to it.
I have already filed a bug report upstream and I am hereby reassigning
the present bug report to the octave-dev package.
Best,
Rafael Laboissière
