Hello,

Every time I burn a Debian install image onto a USB flash stick I cannot stop thinking about the unused space that is left on it.

How do you feel about the introduction of a way to create a persistent squashfs partition where you can install software with apt or use it as a personal storage, like ubuntu has done in the last few years? How much effort is required to do that?

If there is a more appropriate team to forward this as a suggestion, can you please let me know?

Thank you

Arnaldo Pirrone
