does kde2 and koffice support chinese?

hi all
   I am using libc6 2.1.95, kde2 and koffice now. I have linked zh_CN to 
zh_CN.GB2312 and zh_CN.GBK.
   Now kde2 can display chinese menu. xcin worked too. but I can't input
chinese to any kde2 apps using xcin. :( Of cause, koffice couldn't too.
   Does kde2 and koffice support chinese?  has anyone tested it?
