It says | the following projects have pledged to drop support for Python 2.7 | no later than 2020, coinciding with the Python development team's | timeline for dropping support for Python 2.7. which is rather ambiguous. If we do interpret it to mean 2020-01-01, I doubt there is any realistic chance of us making that, even if we decide we want to.
