I disagree with too many of your conclusions to reply to most of them, so

lol. of course it must be not modern, lol, there cannot be any other
explaination.
more seriously, the only difference between normal uploads and uploads
to security master is the upload host. thats really all.
and the fact that some modern tools cannot deal with that. also lol.
obviously, we need to be able to do security uploads, so to me personally
tools which cannot do that, are really less interesting.
