I apologize for sloppily failing to mention that the package in
question is targeted non-free. I see now that it is an important detail
but do not understand why that makes it wrong to ask "in so many ways".

For the record, I did not omit that fact to try steal time and
attention from fellow DDs for unholy tasks totally irrelevant for the
project. But I suspect that is exactly the reason you frame it as "in
so many ways" wrong.

I have now read the passage that you point to - which is so short that
I find it reasonable to quote here:
