The compilation failled on my box (sarge), memory exhausion. Does somebody manage to compile repository-howto.xml ?
Sorry, I do not have time to test it now.
If the DVI, PS or PDF file format fails it may help to increase TeX' pool size. Please see quick-reference for a sample texmf/ directory and an entry in Makefile to use this (I hope it helps).

And last question, does somebody if it exists logs for doc compilation ?
