Package: dpkg-repack
Version: 1.41
Severity: wishlist
Hi.
In the spirit of my last bug report, and also as a wishlist priority, it
would be nice if the information of repackaging appended to be long
description were optional.
I realize that some people might think that this is controversial, but it
would be a nice option to have, at least.
Thanks in advance,
Rogério Brito.
P.S.: In fact, it would be super, super nice to have the reconstructed
package be as close as the original package (in the sense of the
reproducible builds effort that we have), unless, of course, the system
administrator changed the contents of some files. I also realize that this
is a somewhat more elaborate task than what I asked above.
