Actually, I was about to mail here asking if I could retitle all the bugs fixed in 1.4.0.24 (once it's installed) and the other NMUs to "Fixed in NMU" as Ray has done for gcc/ncurses. It would make finding real dpkg bugs *significantly* easier and is totally reversible (in contrast to closing them).
