hello, i updated to apt, but since the beginning i have problems with dselect beeing unable to install certain package a gmp2, now the list of those broken packes grows further, and i am now at a point where dselect looses all its functionality, since it wants those problems be solved before anything else.....
But i have no clue how to solve them..... those packages can't be desinstalled, nor installed.... the force option does not work, its a real dead end..... here a some of the error messages: Removing gmp2 ... install-info: No dir file specified dpkg: error processing gmp2 (--remove): subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 install-info: No such file or directory for Development dpkg: error while cleaning up: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 dpkg: error processing libc6-doc (--remove): Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should reinstall it before attempting a removal. what can i do to solve this? ciao bboett ============================================================== acount at earthling net http://erm6.u-strasbg.fr/~bboett =============================================================== Unsolicited commercial email is NOT welcome at this email address To contact me replace acount by bboett in above addresses
