A short status report of what the tech crew did at the gathering in Oslo
last weekend
We started by getting a status of the cd as it was. by testing it's
installation on a few machines. This reveled that changes in debian-cd
have altered the way packages are included on the cd. The effect being
that the CD1 is filled with quite a lot of unneeded packages.
Much of the time on this gathering was spent on the cd build. and the
package lists. and changes have been made to both to get more useful
packages on the cd.
Testing was also done on ltsp4 and ltsp5 vs usb devices. Samba, and the
installer in general. and in spell checking
We got a look at niko's prototype ltsp client. good food, good drink,
and generaly having a great time :)
On the downside:
We were not very good at having regular status meetings.
