With the help of the <URL:http://wiki.skolelinux.no/Dokumentasjon/Manualer?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=Installasjon-av-skolelinux.pdf> document and help from Bjarne with testing, I have discovered that it is possible to get the flash plugin from Adobe to support esd, and thus to get flash sound on LTSP clients in Etch.
The package to fix this is libflashsupport, and I have just uploaded it to debian and debian edu. I believe we should include it in 3.0r2. I'll keep working on in this evening.
