I just had a look at this package, and the new example hook script is missing in the binary package. doc/examples/kde-desktop-icons is no where to be find. Can you make sure it is installed with the execute bit set, to allow it to be enabled using a simple symlink from /etc/ltspfs/mounter.d/, instead of having to copy it.
