The X configuration in Etch is not optimal for monitors supporting more than 1024x768. To solve this, I had a look at xdebconfigurator the other day. Now I need testers to see how it work on different monitors.
A test package is available from http://people.skolelinux.org/pere/debian/packages/etch/xdebconfigurator_1.33.0.edu.etch.pere.1_all.deb Please test it and let me know how its output differ from the old one for your monitor.
