Using wireshark to get file paths from the NFS traffic from the client to the server, I was able to identify more servies we can disable on thin clients: timidity, lirc, samba-ad-dc and cups. They are not running after boot, but their init.d scripts are executed. Do we need any of these? Disabling them all bring the amount down to 113 MiB, so the effect is not large from these scripts. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
