I have built a kernel image with the sources of debian kernel 2.6.27-1-686 on debian-trunk.
Additionally I have built the atl2 driver from the sources. Furthermore, /etc/modprobe.d/madwifi was edited to allow loading of the ath5k module. So far my experience with this kernel on the eee 900 has been good. The SD card issue I had with read errors is solved, wired and wireless interfaces work. The only issue I see is toggling wifi with Fn+F2. That gives [ 1030.287306] ath5k phy0: failed to wakeup the MAC Chip [ 1030.287318] ath5k phy0: unable to reset hardware: -5 Pedro On Fri, Oct 24, 2008 at 3:51 PM, Pedro Bulach Gapski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I have been having issues with my 16Gb SD card since I bought my eeepc. > Information has been posted on this list that a patch has been accepted into > linux git to solve those issues [1]. > > Has anybody tried 2.6.27 on those card read errors [2] and can confirm (or > not) that it fixes the problem? > > regards, > > pedro > > > [1] > http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/debian-eeepc-devel/2008-August/000837.html > > [2] dmesg output: > [ 7143.956295] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Sense Key : Hardware Error [current] > [ 7143.956304] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdc] Add.
