I just had a look at your shengine branch with an Eee PC 1000HGO and Linux
2.6.30. The automatic shengine toggling according to ac power status works
very well, saving close to 1 Watt when running on battery power.
About 1.3W, according to the numbers shown by powertop on my 901. However, I
find that altering cpufv is causing changes in brightness: when
underclocking, the display is slightly brighter.
I don't see any changes in brightness with the 1000H.
However, I cannot toggle S.H.E. status using the hotkeys. The reason for
that, I believe, is that the handle_shengine() function is not available
inside hotkey.sh as it is defined in ac_adapter.sh.
Fixed.
Thank you, now it's working well.
Another topic: Maybe it would be nice to be able to toggle the Huawei
GSM modem? Saves 0.7-0.8 Watts on my system.
Kind regards,
