Dear Darren,
I just had a look at your shengine branch with an Eee PC 1000HGO and
Linux 2.6.30. The automatic shengine toggling according to ac power
status works very well, saving close to 1 Watt when running on battery
power.
However, I cannot toggle S.H.E. status using the hotkeys. The reason
for that, I believe, is that the handle_shengine() function is not
available inside hotkey.sh as it is defined in ac_adapter.sh.
