Hi, thx for Your reply.

I think I did it right since dmesg log shows it in command line and there is report that it was set:

ACPI: Added _OSI(Linux)

but still eeepc-laptop is not loaded :(

Also I have tried to run it by pressing E on grub screen and editing command line manually. Same result.
Adding it in /etc/default/grub and running update-grub = same result.

I tried to add it with ="Linux" and without =Linux - same effect..

Also dmseg shows =Linux in command line - not ="Linux".

Hello.

I can't get it loaded.

I tried adding fixes to grub, didn't work.
Please explain exactly what you did. You probably did not apply the
workaround correctly. Perhaps you forgot to run 'update-grub' after
editing /etc/default/grub?

Manually loading module gives error device not found.
eeepc folder is missing in devices.
cat /proc/cmdline

If you applied the fix correctly, this command shows acpi_osi="Linux" is
included in the kernel commandline.

Ben
