Hi,

I'm assuming that the system you found ppl to FTBFS on is the same you reported
the problem from, which was a Debian/lenny system. For the reasons detailed
below I will close this bug. Should my assertion of a Debian/lenny system not be
correct, please reopen the bug and provide further information.

This version ^^^^ is in squeeze and unstable only, and nobody claimed it would
be compatible with lenny.

I don't think this actually fixes the problem, and even more so as
swi-prolog-nox is in squeeze/sid only. The issue is that swipl-ld was called
plld in earlier versions (such as those sitting in lenny), hence the
incompatibility.
