Right, I have there:
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com debian main upstream import
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/ testing main contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/security testing/updates main
contrib non-free
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest/multimedia testing main non-free
deb http://extra.linuxmint.com debian main


I've commented out all these lines, rerun Synaptic and found qgis et
al. Is this what I have to do? Just comment out
those lines and go on and install? Should I keep those lines commented
from now on?
