Package: libc6 Version: 2.2.5-14 When I invoke less (version 376-3) or acroread (4.05-5), both fail with a read that is too short. That is, less simply doesn't show (part of) the file, and acroread complains: ----------------------------------------- acroread: ../../Source/ATM/Extra/Edge/FileCore.cpp:322: CTBool CTFile::Write(const void *, unsigned int): Assertion `nWritten == nCount' failed. /usr/bin/acroread: line 8: 25483 Aborted /usr/lib/Acrobat4/bin/acroread "$@" -----------------------------------------
Note that this problem doesn't occur under root. I suspect there is some kind of a bug in libc6. I am using Debian testing, virgin kernel 2.4.18. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
