I am still confused. How does this differ from the case of the
.hidden symbols from libgcc that we put in libgcc-compat? It would
seem to be an identical situation, no? We just need to export for
run-time resolution but not linking. No one seems to have the same
complaint about the libgcc compat symbols being present that way
in glibc 2.3.
