when I try to generate locales on my system, localedef crashes. Generating locales... [EMAIL PROTECTED]:1: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:3: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:5: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:6: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:7: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:8: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:9: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:10: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:11: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:12: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:13: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section i18n:15: syntax error: not inside a locale definition section /usr/sbin/locale-gen: line 24: 28684 Segmentation fault localedef -i $input -c -f $charset $locale -A /etc/locale.alias This does not happen when locales are installed the first time after installation, they are created but only once. When I reexecute locale-gen manually or via dpkg-reconfigure locales, localedef segfaults. If you cannot reproduce this, let me know and I will try to find time for a debugging session.
