    So I'm trying to build
golang-google-cloud-dev 0.115-1~exp0 which has a lower google api
    requirement but it needs
    golang-github-census-instrumentation-opencensus-proto-dev which is only
    available in oldoldstable.

It was removed on 2026-03-26. So how to proceed here?

golang-github-census-instrumentation-opencensus-proto was already removed before I started to updating -google-cloud and -google-api packages. Due to dependency needed. I reintroduced that package into Sid. And then removed it again later when we have newer -google-cloud upstream release which not needed it anymore.

I only requested to drop the package from Sid. The package git repo should still exist on go-team’s salsa space you may simply reuse.

Hopefully that helps,

Thanks, but I don't think a package not in testing will be accepted into backports.

Can there be an exception for a temporary bootstrapping package? Or can I add these as vendor inside debian temporarily? I can remove them after the latest versions are accepted.
