I strongly dislike huge monorepos, and have had poor experiences with them across several different projects in the past. I would not be in favor of the Go Team attempting this. I dislike repos consisting solely of the debian/ directory even more, as I cannot easily build the corresponding package with what I think is a fairly normal workflow of `git clone ... && gbp buildpackage`.
