For many small values it is faster than the standard library's encoding/csv, which allocates a 4 KB buffered reader on every call; an existing slice can also be passed in and reused for the result. . It follows the encoding/csv record syntax, including quoted fields, and accepts a trailing newline for compatibility with it. For multi-line CSV the standard library remains the right choice. Binary package: golang-github-tonistiigi-go-csvvalue-dev (import path github.com/tonistiigi/go-csvvalue). Why: BuildKit v0.33.0, built as part of docker.io 29.8.1 (in preparation; unstable has 28.5.2, work in progress at https://salsa.debian.org/mendezr/docker/-/tree/wip/moby-v29), imports it from solver/debug.go, solver/llbsolver/history/filter.go, util/entitlements/entitlements.go and util/progress/progressui/colors.go. The docker.io update is needed by github.com/anchore/stereoscope (ITP https://bugs.debian.org/1135909). Today the same files are shipped inside golang-github-docker-docker-dev 28.5.2, so the new binary carries Replaces (and will need Breaks) on golang-github-docker-docker-dev (<< 29.8.1+dfsg1-1~). I intend to maintain this package within the Debian Go Packaging Team.
