I just installed the packages for Gnome 2 and to my great surprise they all work quite well (minus a few segfaults now and then :-) except the panel which consistently refuses to start. But apparently it has been fixed in the latest version
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83368 so I'll just await a new package. All in all, great work! But I miss packages for the C++ wrappers for GTK+ and the Gnome libraries.
