After upgrading to gnome 2.4, my background isn't drawn anymore. I'm not running nautilus and I don't want to run it just for drawing my background. Is there any way I can force gnome into setting my background without running the beast? I have found some related posts at http://linuxquestions.org/questions/history/109356
