I managed to get it booting without problems using a Gentoo 2007.0 CD, which has a 2.6.20.1 kernel rather than the 2.6.18 in etch. However I've now passed the machine on to Steve McIntyre, so hopefully he'll have some more luck getting it booting Debian. J. -- "Do I scare you?"
